Poetry inspired by true Love
A Sonnet for You
To paint your beauty, oh I desire it so much
But all the colours of this world are not enough
Your essence I can never touch
You are One, all the rest are grey and rough
Am I the phoenix of your painful lust?
Our bodies fuse into the flames of doom
Flesh and feathers turn to dust
A kiss to make again the ashes bloom
Of words so poor is the human kind
Yet so rich of feelings is my heart
For our Love the word I’ll never find
But seeking it, I’ll tear the Universe apart
With you a single moment, a tiny instance
Gives meaning to a lifetime of existence
But all the colours of this world are not enough
Your essence I can never touch
You are One, all the rest are grey and rough
Am I the phoenix of your painful lust?
Our bodies fuse into the flames of doom
Flesh and feathers turn to dust
A kiss to make again the ashes bloom
Of words so poor is the human kind
Yet so rich of feelings is my heart
For our Love the word I’ll never find
But seeking it, I’ll tear the Universe apart
With you a single moment, a tiny instance
Gives meaning to a lifetime of existence
